Mark Rayner comes up with a crafty double-banger, a storage and memo board.
You will need: Garden tools, paintbrushes, including an artists’ brush, pencil, screwdriver, paint stirrer, sandpaper, panel of 22mm plywood, ours measured 600mm x 1200mm, hanging brackets with screws, Resene no. 4 roller and paint tray. Resene Quick Dry waterborne primer undercoat. Resene Lumbersider tinted to Resene Sail and Resene Aviator. Resene Write-on Wall Paint.
Top tip: Always use whiteboard markers to write on the memo board and a whiteboard eraser or soft cloth to clean it.
Step 1
Lightly sand the plywood panel and apply one coat of Resene Quick Dry, allowing two hours to dry.
Step 2
Apply two coats of Resene Sail to the plywood panel, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 5
Continue until all the shapes are painted and allow to dry for two hours. Apply a second coat. Allow to dry for two hours.
Step 6
Mix both parts of Resene Write-on Wall Paint, according to instructions, and stir with a paint stirrer. Leave to stand for five minutes.
